Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Grant Committee  »

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Grant Committee invites Humboldt students, Humboldt student organizations, Humboldt staff, Humboldt faculty, and Humboldt underrepresented faculty to submit proposals for programs offered on campus to the university community that raise awareness, deepen understanding, and/or engage the campus community in dialogue about one or more of the multiple dimensions of diversity and equity.

Environmental Health and Safety Committee  »

Communicates and discusses relevant safety information across campus. Develops and updates written safety policies and procedures at a campus level, identifies safety issues and offer recommendations for improvement, provides feedback to responsible groups on workplace recommendations and status of programs, and raises the level of awareness for safety at Humboldt.

Humboldt Advisory Committee on Sustainability [HACS]  »

The Humboldt Advisory Committee on Sustainability (HACS) is charged with planning, governing and overseeing the integration and advancement of environmental sustainability and into core operations of the university, with an eye towards the economic and social impacts of such. The HACS will make recommendations for further implementing sustainability into the following categories: Curriculum and Research | Campus & Community Engagement | Air & Climate | Energy | Buildings & Grounds | Food & Dining | Purchasing | Transportation | Waste & Water

Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) Committee  »

Advises the University President regarding both level of fee and allocation of fee revenue.

Intercollegiate Athletic Advisory Committee  »

Serves as a forum for the Athletic Director to seek advice, refine ideas and develop or revise policies of the Athletic Department on such subjects as equity compliance, annual budget and the direction and balance of sport that constitute the program.

Provides advisory support for, and promotes programs and initiatives that foster international educational opportunities for the campus community. Advises the campus community regarding international programs and international educational opportunities.

Landscape and Tree Advisory Committee  »

Provides input to Facilities Management with regard to the planning, design and maintenance functions associated with the University's and Residence Hall landscape and urban forest. Increases awareness of academic needs regarding the campus landscape which is considered to be an “outdoor classroom”.

Sexual Assault Prevention Committee or "SAP-C"  »

Coordinates educational programs for the campus community that help prevent the occurrence of rape, acquaintance rape, and other forms of sexual violence; advises the Vice President for Student Affairs about campus policies and procedures that better support the prevention of rape, acquaintance rape, and other forms of sexual violence among the campus community, including treatment and information for its victims. Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC)  »

The Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) is an administrative committee composed of students, staff, faculty, and an administrative representative with the responsibility to advise the president regarding the establishment and adjustment of campus mandatory and course-based fees in accordance with the provisions of the Chancellor's Executive Order 1102.

Sustainable Humboldt Innovative Futures Trust (SHIFT)  »

Reduces the environmental impact of energy use at Humboldt through student-driven projects; reviews and prioritizes the allocation of fee revenue for projects that meet this goal.

Sustainable Transportation Committee (STC)  »

Administers the A.S. Elections and enforces the Election Code. Highly recommended for students interested in government, campaigns or those who are Government and Politics majors.

Serves as an advisory group assessing the needs and goals of the Association. Evaluates any A.S. Board member as to upholding their responsibilities when requested by a majority of the A.S. A.S. Sub-Committee on Bylaws  »

Serves as an advisory group assessing the needs and goals of the Association with respect to the maintenance and upkeep of the A.S. Codes, and Bylaws. The Bylaw Committee has the sole power to recommend and modify the A.S. Codes and Constitution. Email the chair, Malluli Cuéllar, to have any recommendations and modifications to the A.S. Codes and Bylaws be considered by the Bylaws Committee for recommended approval by majority vote.

Center for Community Based Learning Committee  »

The Center for Community Based Learning Advisory Committee is comprised of Humboldt students, faculty, staff and local community partners. The Advisory Committee members provide feedback and guidance on the Center’s activities and strategic direction. Each member offers a unique perspective and represents their constituency needs and goals.
