What are some goals you have for the spring 2020 semester?

My goals for Spring 2020 Semester is to get students involved which also means strengthening committees. While serving on the board has many benefits and opportunity to provide students a voice on campus and have a say in where funds are spent in these times of budget cuts. A.S. is responsible for many areas on campus which directly affect you and your peer's success at HSU. For example, A.S. receives funding from the student fees you pay and distributes that funding to various programs on campus including the MultiCultural Center, OhSnap, Clubs and Activities, the Health Center, and many more crucial HSU resources. I will be co-authoring and/or creating a new resolution with Jourden Lamar, the other CPS Representative where we can make an impact through policy changes and advocacy through shared governance and what matters the most to students for their opinions may be expressed before my term is over since I will be Graduating in the Spring. My hope is to connect students of College of Professional Studies with faculty, staff, clubs, Dean of the College and their A.S. Representatives by supplying them with appoint of contact, resources and opportunities during their school years at Humboldt State University which we will have Two CPS Mixer's this Spring Semester.

Are there any projects, resolutions, amendments you are/have been working on?

There is a resolution that Board of Directors are making a priority which is taking a look into creating A Safer Space for students and would like to have students opinions and feedback since as Board of Directors we take in consideration of the students voice when writing resolutions.

Anything else you would like your constituents to know?

I am in my fourth year here at HSU and my major is Liberal Studies Elementary Education. I am a first generation student and will be the first within my family to receive higher than a High School Diploma this May. Originally born and raised from the Bay Area-East Bay. Besides my position within A.S. as College of Professional Studies Representative, I am also a member of Gamma Alpha Omega and I am the Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, Historian and Traditions Chair within my sorority. I also work for Admissions where I am a Front Desk Assistant, Administer Tours as a Tour Guide, and Orientation/Recruitment. Along with that I also work at one of the seven dining services at HSU as a Cashier. Feel Free to stop by my office and get to know me and Jourden Lamar as your Associated Students College of Professional Studies Representatives. Our office hours are Mondays from 1-2pm and Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm in the A.S. Office Located inside the University Center. Also feel free to attend our Board of Directors Meeting Bi-Weekly on Fridays from 5-8 PM at the UC Banquet right next door of the Depot.
